        Edward STEER Last Will and Testament PROB 11/1586 I Edward Steer of the parish of Limpsfield in the County of Surrey yeoman do publish this as my last will and testament and I do hereby revoke [ ] & avow all other wills codicils & testamentary writings by me at any time heretofore made & published first I give and bequeath unto my four sons William Steer Isaac Steer George Steer Israel Steer the sum of ffive pounds to each of them I give and bequeath unto my daughters Ann Loveland Hester Skinner Susannah Outram Jane Strudwick Mary Hale Alicia Atkinson Edith Ridley & Ann Steer widow of my late son John Steer the life sum of ffive pounds to each of them and I do hereby order and direct that my Exors hereinafter mentioned do pay each & every of the aforesaid legacies within six months after my decease I do also give & bequeath unto my son Israel Steer the sum of two hundred pounds over & above the aforesaid sum of ffive pounds to be paid him by two instalments within twelve months after my decease I give & bequeath unto my dear wife Alicia Steer one [ ] annuity of ffifty pounds a year during the term of her natural life to be paid by four quarterly payments to begin & be made payable at the expiration of three calendar months after my decease and after the decease of my said wife Alicia Steer I give and bequeath unto my children William Steer George Steer Edward Steer Israel Steer Ann Loveland Hester Skinner Jane Strudwick Mary Hale Alicia Atkinson Edith Ridley & Ann Steer the widow of my late son John Steer or their heirs the sum of one thousand pounds to be equally divided between them share & share alike to be paid by my Exors by two instalments the first instalment to be paid within one year after the decease of my said wife Alicia Steer and the second instalment to be paid within one year immediately after the first. I also give and bequeath unto my six daughters Ann Loveland Hester Skinner Jane Strudwick Mary Hale Alicia Atkinson & Edith Ridley or their heirs the sum of fifty pounds to each of them over and above the aforesaid equal portions of the one thousand pounds to be paid to them & each of them within one year after my decease I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Susannah Outram after the decease of her husband William Outram the sum of five shillings per week to be paid to her immediately on the decease of her aforesaid husband weekly and every week during the natural life of my aforesaid daughter Susannah Outram and I do hereby subject & charge all my estate real & personal with the payment of the aforesaid legacies & annuities and all the rest and residue of my property and whatsoever and wheresoever I may die possessed of I give and bequeath unto my son Edward Steer after paying all my just debts funeral expenses and the expenses of proving this my last will and testament and I do hereby appoint my two sons George Steer & Edward Steer my sole Exors of this my last Will &Testament in witness whereof I the said Edward Steer the Testor to this my last will and testament have set my hand & seal this twenty fifth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & thirteen - The mark of X Edward Steer the Testor as being the last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence & in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses to the same Witness our hands David Stone Surgeon Brucoted & Jas Creasy Surgeon Brucoted WHEREAS in my last Will and Testament I have given & bequeathed unto my son Israel Steer a legacy of five pounds another legacy of two hundred pounds & his original share of one thousand pounds I do by this annexed codicil give and bequeath unto my said son Israel Steer one hundred pounds more in addition to the aforesaid sum to be paid to him by my Exors at the time and manner as the aforesaid legacy of two hundred pounds mentioned in my last Will and Testament and I do also give and bequeath unto John Loveland the son of my daur Ann Loveland of Hurst Green in the parish of Oxted in the county of Surrey the sum of ten pounds in consideration of his infirmities to be paid within three months after my decease & I do command that the said sum be applied to apprentice him to any business his parents may consider eligible in witness whereof I the said Edward Steer have set my hand & seal this sixteenth day of June one thousand eight hundred & fourteen The mark of Edward Steer Witness our hands David Stone Jas Creasy PROVED at London with a codicil 12 Novr 1816 before the whpful Samuel [ ] parson at laws & [ ] by the oath of Edward Steer the son and surviving Exor to whom admon was granted being sworn to admin ED (or ER)
