In the name of God Amen I Thomas Stredwick of the Parish of Hellingly in the County of Sussex Carpenter being of sound mind and memory but calling to recollection of the uncertainty of this life I do make this my last will and testament revoking all others declaring this only to be my last

First then and principally I recommend my soul to Almighty God who gave it and my body to be interred in a decent christian burial at the discretion of my executor hereinafter named

And as touching my worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me I dispose of the same in the following manner and form that is to say

I give and bequeath (after all my just debts and funeral expenses are paid) to my grandson Thomas Stredwick all my household furniture (except as herein after excepted) together with all my working tools of whatever description they may be or wheresoever they may be found to him and his heirs forever

I give and bequeath Elisabeth my beloved wife one feather Bed Bedsteddle one Bolster and one pillow together with the income of the remainder of my estate (after debts are paid) whether real or personal to be by her enjoyed during her natural life

And after her decease the same shall be equally divided amongst all my children share and share alike to them and their heirs forever

Lastly I ordain constitute and appoint Thomas Slater of the Parish of Dallington in this County to be my sole executor of this my last will and testament

And for the faithfull discharge of which I give hime the sum of two pounds of Lawfull money of Great Britain not doubting in the least of his care and fidelity in executing the same
