I edward Strudwick of the parish of Saint James Westminster in the County of Middlesex Gentleman being in goo d health and of sound and perfect mind Memory and understanding but being about to undertake a voyage to the Island of Jamaica do make this my last woll and testament in manner following and do hereby revoke all former wills and testaments by me heretofore made
I hereby leave and bequeath to Thomas Dimes Gentleman who is going with me to Jamaica aforesaid the summe of five hundred pounds in case I shall happen to dye within one year from the date hereof and in case I shall live two years from the date hereof then I leave and bequeath to the said Thomas Dimes only the sum of four hundred pounds and in case i shall live three years from the date hereof then I leave and bequeath to the said Thomas Dimes only the sum of two hundred pounds and in case I shall live four yearsfrom the date hereof then I leave and bequeath to the said Thomas Dimes only the sum of one hundred pounds
I also leave and bequeath unto my honoured father Henry Strudwick Esquire one hundred pounds
I also leave and bequeath unto my sister in law Mrs Mary Strudwick wife of my brother Henry Strudwick Esq one hundred pounds and to my neice Miss Mary Strudwick their daughter two hundred pounds
And lastly I leave and bequeath and devise all my estate real whatsoever and wheresoever and also all the rest residue and remainder of all my personal estate unto my said brother Henry Strudwicke whom I hereby constitute and appoint sole executor of this my last will and testament
In witnes whereof I the said Edward Strudwick have hereunto set my hand and seal this eleventh day of June in the fifteenth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second by the grace of God of great britain ffrance and ireland King Defender of the Ffaith and in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and forty one Edward Strudwick
