This is the last will and Testament of Hannah Strudwick widow of no5 Stanley Terrace Kings Road in the parish of Saint Luke Chelsea
it is my desire if consistent with the convenience of my children that I should be interred by the side of my late beloved husband in the church yard of Ealing Middlesex & that the funeral be conducted in as plain a manner as is consistent with the manner of my life
I give and bequeath to my eldest son William Strudwick of No5 Stanley Terrace aforesaid the sum of two hundred pounds also the unexpended term of the lease of a house & premises situate No24 Clipstone Street Saint Marylebone in the county of Middlesex for his sole use and benefit during the whole of my interest therein
I give and Bequeath to my two sons John Strudwick and James Hayward Strudwick all my household furniture plate linnen glass pictures & books which shall belong to me at my decease to be shared in equal proportions
I give to my only Sister Ann Howard Spinster of No14 Millman row Chelsea all my wearing apparell
I give to John Strudwick aforesaid my gold watch
I give devise and Bequeath the whole of the residue of my property whatsoever wheresoever & of what kind soever to my four sons William Strudwick John Strudwick, Thomas Strudwick, James hayward Strudwick for their absolute use and benefit respectively share and share alike
in consideration of which I direct the sum of twenty pounds per annum payable quarterly clear of all deductions to be paid by my four sons aforesaid in equal portions to my sister Ann Howard aforesaid during her natural life
and further I hereby grant permission that the monies that may be owing to me by either of my four sons may remain unpaid for a period of three years after my decease bearing interest from that time that is the time of my decease at the rate of 5£ percent per annum but to become the property of the legatees on my decease with power to bequeath the same
And I hereby nominate & appoint William Strudwick & John Strudwick both of No5 Stanley terrace Chelsea to be my executors of this my will dated this twentieth day of April one thousand eight hundred & forty two Hannah Strudwick

In the prerogative court of canterbury In the Goods of Hannah Strudwick Widow deceased. Appeared Personally Jemima Budding (wife of William Budding) of No2 Park Terrace Kings road Chelsea in the county of Middlesex and made oath that she is one of the subscribed witnesses to the last will and testament of Hannah Strudwick late of No5 Stanley Terrace Kings Road in the parish of Saint Luke Chelsea in the county of Middlesex widow deceased bearing date the twentieth day of April 1842 now hereunto annexed
and she further made an oath that on the twentieth day of April aforesaid the said testator duly executed her said will by signing her name at the foot thereof in the presence of this deponent and of William Budding the other subscribed witness thereto both of whom were present together at the same time and thereupon this deponent and in the said presence of the said testatrix Jemima Budding
On the 2nd day of July 1844 the said Jemima Budding wife of William Budding was duly sworn th the truth of the aforegoing affidavit before me Robert Phillimore RW Jennings
