In the name of God Amen I Elizabeth Strudwick in the parish in Stoke Next Guildford in the County of Surrey spinster do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say)
having xxx all my property except 70 Pounds the interest of that 70 I give and devise to my sister Hannah Champion Widow during her natural life and her decease request my executor or to dispose of it in the following manner
I give and devise to my neice Elizabeth Strudwick spinster of Lewisham in the County of Kent daughter of my brother Tom Strudwick 20 Pounds and my residue I give and devise to my three nieces Ann Mary and Sophia Ogbourn daughter of my sister Jean Ogbourn 10 Pounds each and to my nephew John Ogbournes two sons 5 Pounds each
I likewise give and devise to Elizabeth Aldroad my granddaughter to my sister Catherine Aldroad 5 Pounds
I likewise given devised to Elizabeth Welland granddaughter to my sister Catherine Aldroad 5 Pounds
I give and devise to my sister Hannah Champion all my furniture linen and clothes of all descriptions for here sole use and disposal except my high drawers them I request Mary Ogbourn have and I do hereby nominate and appoint my nephew William Ogbourn of the parish of Stoke Next Guildford to be my sole executor of this my last will and testament to which I set my hand Elizabeth Strudwick written by myself the 14th day of November 1809 it is my request is buried as near my sister Wooley as can be hand and to have a head and foot stone 23rd day of January 1810
Appeared personally, Thomas Colt of Godstone in the county of Surrey Inn Holder and Ann Cream of the same place widow and being severally sworn on the holy evangelist to depose the truth made oaths as follows that they knew and were well acquainted with Elizabeth Strudwick late of the parish in Stoke Next Guildford in the County of Surrey spinster deceased from several years before and to the time of her death and also with her manner and character of handwriting and subscription having seen her write and also subscribe the same and having now carefully viewed and perused the paper writing here unto annexed purporting to be and containing the last will and testament of the deceased beginning thus ‘in the name of God Amen I Elizabeth Strudwick of the parish of Stoke Next Guildford in the County of Surrey spinster do make this my last will and testament’ and ending thus ‘to be my sole executor of this my last will and testament to which I set my hand written by myself the 14th day of November 1809 it is my request to be buried as near my sister Wooley as can be had and to have a head and a foot stone’ and subscribed Elizabeth Strudwick, the said deponents so depose that they verily and in their consciences believe the whole series and contents of the said will beginning ending and subscribed as above beall written by and with the proper hand of the said Elizabeth Strudwick deceased Thomas Cole Ann Cream this day the said Thomas Cole and Ann Cream were duly sworn to the truth to this effect before us George Box, G Coote
