        Thomas of Dunsfold,Husbandman, Dunsfold 1641 In the name of God Amen the one and thirtieth day of March Ano Domini 1641 and in the 17th year of the reign of ou Sovereign Lord Charles by the Grace of God of England Scotland France & Ireland King Defender of the Faith I Thomas Strudwick of Dunsfold in the Countie of Surrey husbandman being sicke in bodye but of good and perfect memorie thanks be unto almightie God therefore do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following Imprimus I commend my soul into the hands of Almightie God my creator and redeemer hoping to be saved by the merits and passion of Jesus Christ and my bodie to be buried in the churchyard by the Parish Church of Dunsfold aforesaid Now for my temporal estate my mid and will is as followeth. Imprimus I give and bequeath unto John Strudwick my second son all that parcel of land and house in the tenure and occupation of Joseph Treadfull and John Mathews called or known by the name of Croks and my will is that John my son shall paie out of the said lands called Croks to Nicholas my youngest son fortie pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paid to the said Nicholas as followeth that is to saie twentie pounds within the first year of my decease and twentie pounds mor to the said Nicholas at two years after my decease and my will and mind is that John my second son aforesaid shall paie to Amy Strudwick my youngest daughter twentie pounds of good and lawfull money out of the said land called Croks within two years after my decease that is to say Ten pounds within one year after my decease and Ten pounds more within two years after my decease Imprimus My mind and will is that I give and bequeath unto Allis Strudwick my eldest daughter now the wife of Lawrance Woodhatch twentie pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paid to her by my executor hereafter named within two years after my decease out of the land called Lombards that is to say Ten pounds within one year after my decease and Ten pounds more within two years after my decease Now as for my goods and chattells my mind and will is as followeth that is to say it shall be equally divided between all my children that is to say Thomas & John & Nicholas& Allis & Amey my children after my debts and funeral expenses paid Imprimus I give and bequeath unto Thomas Strudwick my eldest son all that house ..ilthill and a parcell of land called Hurland laying on the northwest side of the house and land calleed Lambards which I now dwell in and so make the said Thomas my eldest son my Executor of this my last will and testament and for overseers hereunto I desire nominate and appoint Arnold Quennel of this parish and George Hunt of Hascombe to see that this my last will and testament performed according to the true meaning whereof for their personal pains herein taken I give to each of them five shillings and all their reasonable charges borne and I utterly revoke all former wills and testaments or bequests heretofore by me made for witness whereof I have put my hand and seal the day the year first above written
