He becameLieutenant-Colonel of Pocock's Regiment; and died 30 January 1730 of thewounds he received the day before in a duel he fought, near Kilmaine inIreland, with Redmond Barry, one of the members of the House of Commonsof that Kingdom His wife was named Alice.
