        In the name of God Amen The last day of January 1614 Richard Strudwick als Deane of Kerdford in the County of Sussex Glassmaker being sick in body but in perfect memory praised be God Did by word of mouth in the presence of these persons whose names are hereunder mentioned make & declare his last will & testament nuncuperative in manner & forme following viz. First he did by these words or words to the like effect gave unto George Hood iij to be paid to him at his age of 21 years And to each of the other children of Ambrose Hood father of the said George at that tyme borne xx a peece to be paid likewise at their severall ages of 21 yeares Item He gave to Agnes Strudwick als Deane his brother Henry eldest daughter iii And to any one of the other iii children of the said Henry xx a peece to be likewise paid to them iij at their severall ages of 21 yeares. Item he then gave & bequeathed unto the iij children of Richard XXX deceased x a peece to be paid to them likewise at their severall ages of 21 yeares Item He also gave and bequeathed unto the children of Henry Taylor x a peece to be paid likewise unto them at their severall ages of 21 yeares Item He also gave and bequeathed unto the iij children of William Stedman his brother in law x a peece to be paid likewise unto them at their severall ages of 21 yeares Item He gave unto every one of his godchildren x a peece Item He gave unto every of his fellow servante in the house x a peece Item He willed & appointed that his Master William Strudwick of Hills Greene should sattisfie & pay all these small legacies to those persons before named at the tymes & ages before mentioned out of certaine mony which he then had oweing unto him by his said master Item he also made & appointed that his father Henry Strudwick als Deane should be executor of this his last will.
