Bargain and Sale SAS-B/555 20 Mar 1640 These documents are held at West Sussex Record Office Contents: By Henry Strudwicke of Bealehouse in Kerdford, yeoman, to William Wase junr. of Dotchett, co. Bucks., gent., - for £850 - of a messuage, 2 barns, one staule, 20 acres of arable land, 40 acres of pasture land and 11 acres of woodland, sometime divided into 7 closes called Broadefeild, Netherpighell, Overpighell, Littlehull, Gretumfeild, Smalefeild, and Dermamfeild, but since divided into 12 closes Also a meadow called Longemead containing 8 acres (except one acre thereof in the East part of the said meadow); all the premises being called Bealelands in Kerdford [Kirdford].
