This is the last will and testament of me William Stredwick of Lewes in the County of Sussex Merchant touching the disposition of the Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me as follows that is to say
First I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Nicholas Stredwick the son of my late Brother Richard Stredwick deceased the sum of ten pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid him by my executrix within six months next after my decease
Item I charge all my Messuages lands tenements and hereditaments in Steyning and in the Cliffe near Lewes in Sussex and all other my real estate whatsoever with the payment of my just debts which I shall owe at the time of my decease
Item I give devise and bequeath all and singular my said Messuage lands tenements hereditaments and real Estate so charged as aforesaid and also all my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever after payment of my debts the legacy aforesaid and my funeral expenses unto my sister Ann the wife of John Scott of Lewes aforesaid Innholder her heirs executors administrators and assigns forever
Lastly I make and appoint the said Ann the wife of John Scott sole executrix of this my will
In witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal this sixteenth Day of May in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ffifty seven William Stredwick
