In the name of God Amen I John Strudwicke of the parish of Wisborough Green in the county of Sussex yeoman being aged and not well in body but of perfect memory praised be almighty God I therefore Doe make and Ordaine this my last will & testament in manner following
First I doe recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it hoping through the death and merits of Jesus Christ to be saved and my body I will to be decently buried in the churchyard of Billinghurst by my executor hereafter named
First I doe give & bequeath unto my son Thomas Strudwick the sum of one shilling to be paid unto him within six months after my decease by my executor hereafter named
Item I give unto my son William Strudwick the sum of fifty pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid unto him within six months after my decease by my executor hereafter named
Item I give my daughter Ann one shilling to be paid unto her within six months after my decease by my executor hereafter named
Item I give my daughter Elizabeth one shilling to be paid unto her within six months after my decease by my executor hereafter named
Item I give my daughter Susan one shilling to be paid unto her within six months after my decease by my executor hereafter named
Item All the rest of my money & stock goods and chattells I doe give and bequeath unto my son John Strudwick whom I make executor of this my last will & testament
And further my will & desire is that my executor shall allow unto my wife sufficient maintenance soe long as she shall live
And I doe hereby renounce all former wills heretofore by me made and I doe declare this top be my last will & testament
