In the name of God Amen I Wm Strudwicke of Storrington in the County of Sussex Yeoman being sick and weake in body But of Sound mind Judgement & of perfect mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same yet calling to mind the certainty of Death & the uncertainty of the time when, Doe here make and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and forme foillowing
First I comend my soule into the hands of Almighty God Trusting in & Through the merritts of Jesus Christ my only Saviour & redeemer and my body to the Ground to be decently interred at the discression of my executrix hereafter named and as to my Temporall Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with I do here dispose thereof as followeth
Item I Give & Bequeath to my son henry Strudwicke the summe of Twenty Shillings to be paid to him within six months after my decease
Item I Give & Bequeath unto my son William Strudwicke the full summe of five pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid to him within six months after my decease
Item I Give & Bequeath unto my Daughter Ann Turner the full summe of Tenn pounds of Lawfull money to be paid within six months after my decease
Item I Give & Bequeath unto my Grandson William Strudwicke the full Summe of Twenty Pounds of lawful money to be paid to him when he shall attaine to the age of eighteen years
Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Grandchild Thomas Batcocke the full summ of Tenty pounds of Lawful money to be paid to him when he attaine to the age of Eighteen years
Item I Give and Bequeath unto the rest of my grandchildren being seven in number twenty Shillings apeece to be paid to every one of them as they shall severally attaine to the age of one & twenty years And my will is that if any of them my seven grandchildren shall happen to dye before they shall attaine to the age of one & twenty years, that then the part or portion of him her or them so dying shall returne amongst the rest of the seven grandchildren
Item I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth the now wife of Thomas Batcocke the full summe of One Hundred pounds
Item I Give & Bequeath to Ann my Dear & Loving Wife All my goods for her use during her life & after her life I doe here will give all my said goods to my Executirx & to her heirs & assigns forever
And I do hereby make Ordaine & constitute my daughter Elizabeth Batcocke full and sole Executrix of this my last will & testament
And I doe hereby revoke make void and Null all former Willls by me heretofore att any time made or declared
