I William Strudwick of Bramley in the county of Surrey Miller do make this my last will and testament as follows

ffirst I desire my body to be decently buried at the discretion that my executor hereinafter appointed and as concerning my worldly estate I disclose their role as follows

ffirst I give and devise my messuage now in two tenants or dwelling houses gardens close of land and premises situate lying and being in Bramley aforesaid and now in the several tenancies or occupations of John Boxall Charles Whitby and James Stillwell with their and every of their appurtenances to my nephew Richard Head and his heirs and assigns forever

also I give and bequeath to Robert Sherlock in Bramley aforesaid gentleman Richard Sparks the younger of Bramley aforesaid gentleman and James Stillwell of Bramley aforesaid Mealman 510 pounds 4 pounds percent bank annuity stock part of my 4 pounds percent bank annuity stock to be by my said executor and at his costs and charges to be paid out of the residue of my personal estate transferred to them or the survivors or survivor of them immediately on my decease upon the trusts following that is to say

upon trust to play out of the said 510 pounds bank annuity stock and the divisions in interest thereof which shall arise and become due from and after my decease to my sister Susanna Head widow and her assigns one annuity yearly payment or sum of 20 pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland current in Great Britain for and during the term of the natural life free and clear of and from all deductions whatsoever by equal half yearly payment the first half yearly payment thereof to begin and be made at the end of six calendar months from the time of my decease and also a proportionable part of the said annuity from the time the last half yearly payment thereof shall become due to the day of the death of my said sister Susanna Head

and upon further trusts upon and after my said sister’s decease to pay and transfer the remainder of the said 510 pounds bank annuity stock and dividends and interest thereof applied in payment of her said annuity and my said trustees reasonable costs and charges from time to time in and about or relating to the trusts to my said nephew Richard Head the executors administrators or assignees

also if my servant Mary Luxton shall be living with me at the time of my decease then I give and bequeath to the said Robert Sherlock Richard Sparks and James Stillwell 135 pounds more four pounds percent bank annuity stock other part of my 4 pounds percent bank annuity stock to be by my said executor and at his costs and charges to be paid out of the residue of my personal estate transferred to them or the survivor of survivors of them immediately after my decease upon the trusts following that is to say

upon trust to pay in the said 135 pounds bank annuity stock and dividends and interest thereof which shall arise and become due from and after my decease to the said Mary Luxton and her assigns one annuity yearly payment or sum of 5 pounds of like money as aforesaid for and during the term of the natural life free and clear of and from all deductions whatsoever by equal half yearly payments the first payment thereof to begin and be made at the end of six calendar months from the time of my decease and also a proportional part of the said annuity of 5 pounds a year from the time the last half yearly payment thereof shall become due to the day of the death of the said Mary Luxford and upon further trusts upon and after the decease of the said Mary Luxford to pay and transferred the remainder of the said 135 pounds Bank annuity stock and dividends and interest thereof unapplied in payment to her said annuity and my said trustees reasonable costs and charges from time to time and about or relating to the trusts to my said nephew Richard Head his executors administrators or assigned

also I give and bequeath to my niece Ann Ffoster the sum of 50 pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland current in Great Britain to be paid to her in three calendar months after my decease provided always and I will and declare that if my said neice shall die before the said legacy shall become payable the same shall not be paid but shall in that case be secured and taken to be part of the residue of my personal estate hereinafter bequeathed

also I give and bequeath to my nephew William Head the sum of 50 pounds of like money to be paid to him in 3 calendar months after my decease

also I give and bequeath to my ffirst cousin Thomas Worsfold the elder of Chilworth in the said county of Surrey blacksmith the sum of 50 pounds of like money to be paid to him in 3 calendar months after my decease

and I hereby will and direct that the legacy duty on or for all and every the aforesaid legacies and annuities shall be paid and satisfied by my executor out of the residue of my personal estate

also I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my goods chattels money and otherr personal estate whatsoever to my said nephew Richard Head and I nominate make and appoint my said nephew Richard Head sole executor of this my last will and testament and do hereby revoke all former wills by me made in witness whereof I the said William Strudwick the testator have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal this third day of August in the year of our Lord 1802 William Strudwick signed sealed published by the said William Strudwick the testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who subscribe our names as witness thereto in the presence and at the request of the said testator and in the presence of one another the words “Great Britain” in the 13 line being first obliterated Henry Dean John Lucas William Smyth

this will was proved at London the 21st day of march in the year of our Lord 1804 before the right Honourable Sir William Wynne Knight Doctor of laws master keeeper or promissory of the prerogatory court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Richard head the nephew of the deceased and sole executor named in the said will to whom administration of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased was granted having been first sworn by commission duly to administer
