In the name of God Amen by John Strudwick of Great Bandy Leg Walk in the parish of St Saviour’s in the borough of St Southwark in the county Surrey Victualler considering the uncertainty of this life do while of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say

Ffirst I commit my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executrix hereafter name and I will and directed that all my just debts and funeral expenses and the expense of proving this my last will and testament shall be paid by my executrix hereinafter named out of my effects hereby given and bequeathed to her as soon as convenient may be after my decease

I give and bequeath unto my dear beloved wife Elizabeth Strudwick all my household goods plate linnen China wearing apparel stock in trade real and personal estate whatsoever and we’re soever and of what nature or kind of soever to her own proper use and behoof

Item I give and bequeath unto my dear friend Thomas Ross of Margate Street in the city of London Victualler and my said wife Elizabeth Strudwick the sum of £50 3% Consolidated bank annuities transferable at the Bank of England now standing and in notice in my own name and all interest dividends and profits thereof and of any part thereof in trust nevertheless and upon this xxx condition

That they do pay and apply the interest of the said sum of £50 3% Consolidated bank annuities unto my said daughter Alice Strudwick when and so soon as he shall obtain the age of 21 years to be by her kept to her own use and behoof

But in case my said daughter should not obtained her said age of one and 20 years then I give and bequeath the same unto my said the wife Elizabeth Strudwick from her sole use and benefit

And I do hereby nominate and appoint my said wife Elizabeth Strudwick sole executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former will all wills heretofore made

And I do declare this only to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventh day of September in the year of our lord 1784 John Strudwick
