A Declaration instead of an inventory of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of Mary Strudwick wife of Henry Strudwick late of Hatton garden in the Councty of Middx decd which since her death have come to the hands possession or knowledge of William Winde Esq one of the Executors named in the last will and testament of the said deceased
Impris This Extant is informed and believes that the decd left at her death sundry wearing apparel and other things belonging to her as follows viz.
Item a gowne and petticoat of white silk, a quilted petticoat with a large gold orrise , a white silk nightgowne of Damask, a thick black silk gown and petticoat , a gawse Matle trimd with silver a white silk apron, three pair of white lamb gloves, two dimithy and one flannel petticoat one pair of pumps with a piece of flannel, two hoods, one velvet, the other an _____ hood with a large lace, two pairs of white thread stockings and an old one, two pair of dimithy pockets, two combs, a pair of silk shoes with silver lace, half a dozen of silk handkerchiefs, ditto one more, ditto three musling, ditto four cambrick for the neck, ditto six for the pocket, seven Holland ifts, one Holland apron, ditto three cambrick, two muslin hoods, a piece of dimithy for a pocket ,a shagarine case with two scent bottles, a reading glass and a pair of scissors, a quilted nightgowne, a bedd gowne a pair of sheets, two pair of scarlet worsted stockings, a short black velvet cloak, a white satten quilted coate , a pair of dimithy pumps, a black and white striped night gowne, three plain dressed head coates and ruffles, three suites of night cloathes and a mob
Item This Extant is informed and believes that the said deceased also left at her death the following jewels and other particulars viz.
A gold watch with a gold chain and picture set in gold, a seven stone brild ring, ditto an hart Rose with five brild, a brass guilt equipage, a small tortoiseshell pocketbook rimd with silver, a silver toothpick case, a nutmeg grater, a pincushion with a looking glass and scissors, a purse half silver &silk
Item this extant is informed and believes that the said decd also left at the time of her death the following severall wearing apparel and other things at her late dwelling house in hatton Garden viz.
In the chest of drawers in the two pair of stairs backwards
A white paddisway gown and petticoats with green and silver flowers, ditto a blue one plain, a pink colours lutestring gown and petticoats, a red quilted petticoat with a gold Orrise, a black flanders laced tippet, two yards and a half of gold brocade on a white ground, twenty ply of Holland, three pair of callicow drawers, a little piece of calico and two bottoms of yellow lace, a masquerade cap, a pair of white thread stockings, a black velvet cap, a pink coloured lutestring jacket and petticote fringd, a black velvet gowne & petticoat, ditto black stuff, a red and white striped quilted petticoat, a white Italian lutestring gowne and petticoats and an old pink coloured jacket

Item four pairs of white thread stockings and two pair of socks, one pair of stirrup stockings, five rows of white beads – for the stominger, three neck handkerchiefs, two with broad lace the other with edging, ditto one Indian silk, ditto one striped with a mackline lace, a pair of laced ruffles and pinners with a Valentia ground edging, two double pinners scalloped with a Valentia ground, ditto one single, ditto two old ones, one plain double ruffle and a three double ruffle, three laced modesty pieces and a plain muslin hood one yard and three quarters of fine Brussels lace four yards and three quarters of fine scalloped edging with a valentia ground, ditto thirteen yards and a quarter

Item a head dress with a large Mackline lace of one pinner & a vale of the same, a pair of ruffles with three rows of narrow lace, a Muslin handkerchief with a broad lace difference, a Valentia xxxx with a broad lace pinner & vale, and head dress with double pinners of Mackline lace, a pair of Ruffles with a narrow edging of two rows, a Tucker with a Valentia edging, an Indian flourished neck handkerchief, three girdles silver pink coloured, chequered silver and silk, three yards and a half of white Lutestring, one large Holland sheet with a broad Mackline lace, one black laced hood and two Neckalies, a black laced Mask
In the Garret
Item a silver and pink coloured wrought neckalie, ditto with French gause one, a white and gold girdle, seven silk girdles of different colours, a cross knott of white blue and silver, a favour with white silk embroidered with gold, a pair of blowglass earings and necklace, four rows of white beads for the stays, two pair of pink coloured stockings, a white strip’t Counterpine,
Item This Extant declares that Edward Broughton Esq, decd late father of the said Mary Strudwick decd, did in and by his last will and testament devise unto her the sum of four thousand pounds besides other things, for more certainty this Extant doth refer himself to the last will & testament of the said Edward Broughton Deceased, remaining in the registry of this Court,
& this Extant is informed & verily believes that Mary Broughton Widow decd, late Mother of the said Mary Strudwick decd, for many years and until her the said Mary Broughton’s death, out of such legacys so devised to the said Mary Strudwick decd, maintained and brought up the said Mary Strudwick decd, & her children , and that there has been some years a suit depending in the High Court of Chancery an order to settle upon Trust what remains due to the said Mary Strudwick decd by virtue of her said father’s will,
& this extant being an entire stranger to the affairs of the sd Edward Broughton, Mary Broughton & Mary Strudwick decd cannot set forth what may remain due to the said Mary Strudwick decd under her fathers will
and this Extant further saith that the sd Mary Strudwick decd ever since her sd Mother’s death & this Extant ever since the sd Mary Strudwick’s death have paid for the education & maintenance of the sd Mary Strudwick’s children
Item this Extant declares that in & by the last will and testamt of the sd Mary Broughton decd, Mother of the sd Mary Strudwick decd, bearing date the first day of January in the year of our Lord 1729, one moiety of the personall Estate of the sd Mary Broughton decd is invested in this extant & others In trust to dispose & apply the sd Moiety to such purposes, person & persons as the said Mary Strudwick decd should by any writing under her hand & seal or by her last will & testament by herself alone & separately without her husband direct & appoint, to which said will proved in common form in the name of this Extant now remaining in the Registry of this court this Extant for further certainty refers himself
Item this extant declares that in & by the last will and testament of Theodesia Broughton Spinster decd, sister of the sd Mary Strudwick decd, bearing date the sixteenth day of June 1730 all the realle & personall estates of the said Theodesia Broughton decd is invested in this Extant & others in trust for the sole & separate use of the said Mary Strudwicke decd wherewith her husband should not in any ways intermeddle & to be transferred & disposed as the sd Mary Strudwick decd should direct limit or appoint, to which said will proved in common form in the name of this Extant now remaining in the Registry of this court, this Extant for further Certainty refers himself
Item this Extant declares that he is informed and believes there was found at the house of Mr Mitchell where the said Mary Strudwick dyed, in her custody a banknote of fifty pounds and a few shillings, which said note and shillings this Extant believes were left in the Custody of the said Mr Mitchell in order to satisfy his the sd Mr Mitchells and other demands for necessarys layed out by him for the decd
Lastly this Extant declares that no other goods chattels or Credits of the said Mary Strudwick decd have at any time since her death come to this Extants hands possession or knowledge, and if any shall hereafter come to this Extants hands possession or knowledge this Extant shall always be ready to give an account thereof
