In the name of God Amen the seventh day of December Anno Dmd 1646 I William Strudwicke of the pish of Wisborough greene in the County of Sussex yeoman being weake of body but of good and pfect memory thanks bee given to God werefore doo make and ordaine this my last will & testamt in manner & forme following that is to say

Ffirst and before all things I commend and committ my soule unto the hands of Almighty God my gracious creator trusting most assuredly to bee saved by the death and passion & onely merritts of Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ

Item I give and bequeath unto my mother Katherine the wife of John Wade of the pish aforesaid twenty shillings

Item I give and bequeath unto my brother Henry Strudwicke and my sister Jane the wife of Ralph Naldwright of the pish of Billinghurst twenty shillings a peece

Item I give and bequeath unto my three sisters Mary Katherine and Elizabeth Strudwicke ten pounds a peece to bee paid unto them when they shall accomplish the full age of one and twenty yeares

Item I give & bequeath unto my youngest brother John Strudwicke one hundred pounds to bee paid when hee shall accomplish the age of one & twenty yeares

Item my will & meaning is that if any brother John or any of my three sisters last named do happen to dye before they come to the said age of one & twenty yeares that then he she or their portions shall remaine to my executor hereafter mentioned

Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Elizabeth & Jane the son & daughters of my father in law John Wade of the pish aforesaid tenn shillings a peece

Item I give and bequeath Mary & John and Jane the children of Ralph Maldwright aforesaid twenry shillings a peece at the age of one and twenty yeares

Item I give unto my Godchildren Henry Napper and Thomas Joanes twelve pence a peece

Item I give unto the poore of the pish of Wisborough greene aforesaid twenty shillings

Item my debts and legacies funerall and other expenses discharged I give unto my brother Thomas Strudwicke a pcell of land which I hold by Lease called Lowfold lying in the pish of Wisborough greene aforesaid together with all other goods cattells & chattells whome I ordaine my full & sole executrix of this my last will and testament

Item I make and ordaine my father in law John Wade aforesaid and my uncle William Stenning overseers of this my last will and testament unto whome I give three shillings and foure pence a peece

In witness whereof I have sett my hand & seale to this my last will & testament the day & yeare above written William Strudwicke Sealed and Subscribed in the psence of us Maurice Ireland xxx the marke of Richard Lutman
